MINOX demonstrates presence in Hong Kong and Singapore

MINOX, the German brand of tradition, continues to expand on the Asian market and last week opened a new flagship store in Asia’s two strategically most important cities – Hong Kong and Singapore.

In the renowned Star Ferry Shopping Center in Kowloon/Hong Kong and on Orchard Road in Singapore the German optics manufacturer, based in Wetzlar, is showcasing its entire product range over an area of some 160 square meters. In cooperation with the Asian distributor Schmidt-Marketing MINOX is able to provide professional and expert advice – ranging from the field of digital photography up to binoculars and spotting scopes.

German brands are extremely popular in the markets of the Far East. Commenting on this topic Thorsten Kortemeier, MINOX managing director said: „A stable middle class is becoming more and more interested in products made by German manufacturers. The high standards of our products demand a showroom with a matching high quality environment“. Sales in Asia already make up 40% of the total sales – and the trend is still rising.
