MINOX expands presence in Southeast Asia - Successful shop launch in Kuala Lumpur
MINOX, the Wetzlar-based company of tradition, continues to expand on the Asian market. By opening a further flagship store in Kuala Lumpur MINOX will now be offering its products “Made in Germany“ on the Malaysian market.
The fact that Malaysia is considered one of Southeast Asia’s most stable countries, economically and politically, had a positive impact on the choice of a new business location for the optics company. Once a purely agricultural state, Malaysia has advanced to become a high-tech and capital intensive industrial hub with high development potential and consistent economic growth. It is here that the well-heeled upper classes are showing a strong interest in brand products from German manufacturers. A good reason, says Thorsten Kortemeier, for MINOX to invest in this key market and make its presence felt, in cooperation with its Asian distributor Schmidt-Marketing.
In the exclusive Avenue K shopping center the official flagship store, certified by MINOX Germany, presents the entire MINOX range of products, from binoculars and spotting scopes to digital photography, including expert advisory services.
