Eastmans.com Performs the MINOX BL 10x44 Hardcore Field Test
One of the challenges that the Western hunter faces when dealing with equipment is to find the right pieces of the puzzle without breaking the bank. Many hunters, like myself, are very price conscious, but won’t sacrifice quality - herein lies the challenge. Speaking from a personal standpoint, the family budget is almost always tight – especially with a lovely wife who is a stay-at-home mom, and four young children that think they need to eat every day (the audacity!). To put it bluntly, a $2,000 pair of optics will probably never be in my budget, only in my dreams.

MINOX BL 8x33 test on the outdoorlife.com website
Like its big 10x52 brother, this nimble MINOX is built around the “Comfort Bridge” design-poly-carb body, durable double hinges and a grippy, no-glare rubber finish.
Many testers favored the contrast, color rendition and brightness of the Minox image over others in the category, and it was a runner-up in both the resolution and low-light tests. The open-hinge binocular also won points for its well-designed eyecups, tack-sharp image and generous exit pupil.

MINOX BL 8x52 Comfort Bridge Binocular - Named Best of the Best by Field & Stream
Field & Stream Magazine awarded Best of the Best honors to the MINOX BL 8x52 Comfort Bridge binocular in their annual review of “Gear of the Year” for hunters and other active outdoorsmen. The announcement was made in their September issue.
Among the positive evaluations made by the testers, as reported by Tom McIntyre, was “The open-bridge design immediately fits the hand, and it's a welcome surprise to find 52mm objectives on a glass of this tolerable size and weight.” McIntyre also reported that “...its extreme light-gathering ability was, of course, also noted, as was the generous field of view.”
The review also noted, “And then there's the price. Realistically, it seems about two-thirds of what you'd expect to pay.”
Field & Stream, the leading magazine serving the outdoor market, has an audited circulation of 1,260,769, and reaches a total of more than 3,000,000 readers every month.
