Pierre-Julien Deloche - MINOX APO HG 10x43 & MD 62 ED W

Hi, I’m “PJ” Deloche. I live in the South-East of France and am a professional archer. I’ve been in the French Navy for 14 years as a lookout and with the coast guard in the maritime rescue coordination centre. In both areas of activity, optics are always around my neck or on my shoulder.

My sport is archery which I have been practicing since 2005. I was ranked no. 1 in the world for almost two years – from Oct. 2013 to June 2015. To reach this accomplishment, I won 36 international medals in 45 national team selections! Now I’m a professional archer, competing in official tournaments around the world, designing new archery products, and advising brands in communication and marketing.

French Archery team member Dominique GENET relies on his MINOX APO HG 10x43 and MINOX MD 62 during competitions.

My name is Dominique Genet. I am French and have been practicing archery since 1988. I am a member of the French National Compound Archery team since 1996 and am regulary among the top 3 worldwide for several years now.

Archery is a sport of precision. Our arrows measure 5mm in diameter and must withstand the impacts at 50m making it imperative to have the right equipment. In addition, during our outdoor competitions, my equipment is subjected to hardships like rain, wind and sun, sometimes several days in a row.

French Archery team member Sébastien Brasseur loves his MINOX MD 62 and MINOX APO HG 10x43

As a member of the French Archery team since 2000, it has become extremely important to have high quality optics to make sure that I am precisely on target. As it is very important for me to use high quality optics, my MINOX APO HG 10x43 and MD 62 ED W have been constant companions through most of my championships - I shot in the junior French team until 2003, won the World Indoor Championship in 2003 and the European Outdoor Championship the same year.

Gear Review - MINOX HG 10x52

When new hunters begin their long learning adventure into hunting one of their first questions is how much should I spend on binoculars and then most experienced hunters reply "as much as you can afford." Most new hunters do not understand why you would spend as much or more money on binoculars then your rifle but then quickly an epiphoney happens when glassing mountain sides for hours and you have a pounding headache. Another important consideration is that most game activity happens around dawn and dusk in low light conditions, conditions cheap optics do not perform well in. Trust me I have been through this experiment using compact $25 tasco binoculars then trying mid range 8 power and 10 power optics which where definately an improvement.
