For photokina 2014 that starts this Tuesday in Cologne the optics manu-facturer MINOX has several innovative new products in store. At the fore-front is the compact and sturdy Action Cam MINOX ACX 101. This new type of video camera is proving extremely popular on the market. Whether in a moment of free-fall, on the ski slope or out biking, the action cam is the perfect companion when the focus is on pure action. The full HD video resolution of the ACX 101, its 135° super wide-angle lens as well as a memory capacity of up to 32 GB promise long-lasting dynamic action.

The largest expo for hunters and sport shooters and most important small calibre weapons expo on the African continent – the HuntEx 2013 – was very successful for MINOX. Overall, the Huntex counted 35,006 visitors and 250 exhibitors within four days. Visitors were able to obtain detailed information at the MINOX booth about the company’s complete sport optics programme comprising binoculars, game cameras and the new generation of riflescopes with illuminated reticle "Made in Germany".
Since the successful launch of the exhibition in 2011, HuntEx has become the largest expo for hunters and sport shooters on the African continent and is also the largest small calibre weapons expo. HuntEx is primarily a consumer expo. From 18th to 21st April 2013, 250 manufacturers will show the latest trends in 27 different product categories on a floor area of 11,286 m². MINOX will demonstrate its sport optics programme comprising binoculars, riflescopes with illuminated reticle and game cameras, including expert advice on site.
MINOX announces further enhancements of its BL range of binoculars at IWA 2013. Developments include HD glass, aesthetic and design enhancements. The open-bridge format of the BL line enables secure, one-handed operation and firm grip even in extreme conditions.

Observation cameras are now commonly used to inspect, record and study nature and hunting grounds, and also for the surveillance of houses, gardens, boats or company premises. The optics specialist MINOX is therefore expanding its current range of game and observation cameras with the new DTC 1000 model that features an integrated GSM function. The images captured – photo or video – are transferred quickly and directly to a stored cell phone number by MMS or to an e-mail address. The advantage offered by this function is that the user can respond to the situation immediately, from anywhere, and take any necessary action.
